Adapted by Joe Landry. It’s a Wonderful Life is based on the story, The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern.
This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.
Rehearsals: Mondays/Wednesdays at 6 PM, and Sundays at 2pm beginning on Monday, September 28th, 2026
Tech Rehearsals: Sunday, November 29th – Wednesday, December 2nd, 2026

Please be advised in order to enter the Theatre during auditions all individuals over 18 must provide a license or ID. Individuals under 18 must provide a license, school ID or parent's license. For all individuals entering the building bags will be checked by security.
Auditions will be held at the Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre, located at 28 Monument Square in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on Sunday, September 13th at 6:00 pm and Monday, September 14th, 2026 beginning at 6:00 pm. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 6:00 pm, if needed. Please register to audition no later than Saturday, September 12th. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email.
Please bring an actor resume and headshot to be submitted to the production crew. All those auditioning should prepare 2 monologues under one minute in length as well as participate in some improvisational exercises with props (for the Foley Artist role). Dramatic or comedic in genre is at the actor’s discretion. All actors are encouraged to audition.

FOLEY ARTIST: (late teens - 60s): responsible for creating and performing the sound effects that accompany the actors' performances, bringing the story to life for the radio audience
