Sales and Sponsorship Coordinator:

Job Description for Sales and Sponsorship Coordinator

Reports to: Development & Community Engagement Manager

Position Summary: The Sales and Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for the acquisition, managing and revenue collection of event sponsorships, private receptions, and advertising for the Stadium’s Footlights program book and dining guide.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Identify opportunities and initiate contact with prospective community partners for sponsorships, program book advertising and the dining guide
· Prepare seasonal advertising and sponsorship proposals and present to current and prospective partners
· Steward relationships to build strong, positive and lasting connections
· Travel required to maintain regular visitation with clients and to deliver marketing materials
· Generate sales contracts, invoices and collect revenue
· Collaborate with the Marketing Department to ensure accuracy of advertisements and fulfillment of specific requirements
· Maintain database of all sponsors and advertisers with their financial and support history
· Develop strategies to meet or exceed established sales goals
· Regularly attend networking events at multiple Chambers of Commerce
· Must be available to work evenings, weekends and attend sponsored events
· Plan and attend all private receptions and coordinate sponsor’s requests with local caterer
· Assist with and attend fundraisers as needed
· Provide support to the Development & Community Engagement Manager as needed
· Additional duties may be required

Qualifications and Abilities:

· 5 years professional sales experience
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
· Demonstrated success in a position requiring direct contact and relationship building with clients and partners
· Ability to work independently and coordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously with great attention to detail
· Must have the physical ability to lift 20lbs
· Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Salary: Commensurate with experience
