The Stadium Conservatory offers a broad spectrum of theatre education programs that are designed to offer children and adults the opportunity to develop an appreciation for the performing arts, while enhancing theatrical knowledge and skills.

Fall Theatre Education Programs

Musical Theatre Production - For Kindergarten to 8th Grade

This is a 10 week musical theatre production course is designed to teach budding theatre artists about all aspects of staging a musical theatre production. This course begins with the audition process then progresses to reading through a script, costume fittings, props, sets, and proper usage of microphones.

Four MTP sessions are available. All sessions will culminate in a musical finale on the Stadium's grand hall stage.

Held September through November. Choose between 4 sessions.

Stage Tech - For 7th Grade to 12th Grade

Behind every great production is an outstanding tech crew. In this 10 week Stage Tech course, students will learn what it takes behind the scenes to stage a successful production. Be introduced to back stage rigging equipment, lighting and sound, spotlights and technical theatre terminology. Participants will be part of the team that makes it all happen.

All Stage Tech students will apply their knowledge directly as the official tech crew in the Musical Theatre Finale on November 19th.

Stage Makeup - For 9th Grade to Adult

From monsters to maidens and everything in-between, makeup is the face of every production. In this 10 week Stage Makeup course, students will use the tools of the trade to learn what it takes to transform the actor into any character. Participants will gain knowledge of makeup materials and techniques. Throughout the session, students will learn concepts such as shadowing, aging, scars, and hair styling. 

Stage Makeup students that participate in the class are eligible to volunteer backstage for Stadium musical productions, helping backstage with costuming, hair, & makeup.

Students must bring their own makeup. A list of required supplies will be provided.

Stadium Soundwaves - For 9th Grade to 12th Grade

If you are a fan of Glee and The Voice, then this is the course that will help you become Pitch Perfect. In this 10 week course, students will learn to combine movement with vocals, rehearsing weekly learning music and choreography from a variety of Broadway musicals.

Participants will be included in several performances throughout the year at the Stadium Theatre. Performances may include Stadium Theatre Christmas, in-house musicals, back-up vocals for touring bands, and a Stadium Soundwaves Cabaret in the Stadium Marquee Room.

School Vacation Theatre Education Programs

Summer Stage - For Kindergarten to 12th Grade

This two week program, held through July and August, immerses attendees of any skill level in a creative theatre experience filled with fun, professionally instructed games and theatre exercises. Three two week sessions are available.

Small group and individual class instruction by our experienced directors and choreographers will boost self-confidence, facilitate critical thinking and encourage team building skills. This program culminates in a in a musical finale. Students will be broken up into appropriate age groups.

Winter Stage For Kindergarten to 12th Grade

Held during February vacation, this one week program offers youth a productive activity during vacation that will boost self-confidence, facilitate critical thinking and encourage team building skills. Participants will enjoy taking part in all aspects of staging a performance from acting and singing to choreography and blocking. This program culminates in a in a musical finale. Students will be broken up into appropriate age groups.

The Imagination Series (School Time Performances)

The Stadium’s ‘Imagination Series’ offers stimulating, educational productions throughout the school year at the Stadium for students during school hours at discounted rates. School Time Performances are available to schools and educational affiliates only.
