Michael Franzese's A Mob Story - The History of the Mafia in Providence & Boston
A relationship that's lasted over 100 years!
To every serious mob / mafia TV & Film enthusiast he's the "Dr. Phil" of organized crime. Michael is a former "made man" and a Capo for New York's Columbo crime family. He made a billion dollars for the mob, became a born again Christian, walked away from the life, and lives without witness protection. His bi-weekly YouTube show, "Sitdown with Michael Franzese" gets over 5 million views per month.
The son of former underboss John "Sonny" Franzese, Michael was enrolled in a pre-med program at Hofstra University but dropped out to make money for his family after his father was sentenced in 1967 to 50 years in prison. Michael implemented a scheme to defraud the federal government out of gasoline taxes in the early 1980’s. At the height of his career, he was personally making 1 million dollars a week. Life Magazine called him, "The Mob's young genius!"
In 1986 he was sentenced to 10 years in prison on conspiracy charges where he became a born again Christian and was released in 1994. For the last 30 years he's been speaking at Christian outreach ministries, to professional and college athletes about the lure and pitfalls of sports betting and corporations about fraud and their security, His speaking engagement at the Stadium Theatre will be about his life in La Cosa Nostra and his insight into the history of the mafia in Boston and Providence.
He'll speak about his life and the history of the mafia in Boston and Providence. His show includes a Q&A and a limited number of VIP tickets which include an after-show meet and greet and an autographed copy of his new book, Mafia Democracy
