Matthew Bretschneider - Instructor

Matthew Bretschneider is an actor, educator, and graduate of New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts. He trained with the Atlantic Theater Company, where he attended master class with William H. Macy.

His classical training includes work with Louis Scheeder (Classical Studio) and Tim Carroll (RSC). Matthew has been a resident teaching artist with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, a guest instructor for multiple arts organizations in New York and Boston, and is an active teaching artist for the Sandra-Feinstein Gamm Theatre.

Matthew has performed with the Huntington Theatre Company in Tartuffe, Dead End, Ah! Wilderness, Lyric Stage, and Boston’s Publick Theatre Company. Additional regional credits include the title role in Peter and the Starcatcher with the Kitchen Theatre Company, and Lucentio in Taming of the Shrew with Pulse Ensemble. Off-Broadway and New York credits include the Flea Theater, the New Ohio, and Theatre Row. Television credits include The Path and Law and Order: SVU.
