Exploring Shakespeare: Acting the Text

For Ages 14 to Adult

This workshop will focus on connecting with Shakespeare’s text. Each participant is required to bring in a prepared monologue from one of Shakespeare’s plays. The afternoon will begin with voice, body, and memory work. Participants will explore structure and verse and how it influences character choices. The class will culminate in a staged reading of their monologue.
