Costume Design for Teens
For Ages 13 to 18
In this 10-week class, students will review basic sewing and safety skills, explore elements of design, the use of different fabrics, measurements, patterns, and smart approaches to costuming for the stage.
Each class will focus on a new aspect of costume design. Topics will include design, equipment use, conducting actor fittings, and construction detail. Students will have the opportunity to create pieces for actors to use in future productions on the main stage, and receive insight into how a costume designer works in conjunction with a director to make their vision come to life.
All supplies are included. No prior experience is required!
